Disneyland Creations

And so the creations begin... unlike my planning, saving, and secretly stashing-- these items did not happen WAAAAY in advance.

Some could have been, but with teaching full time and keeping it all a secret, it just wasn't in the books for us.

So as I am thinking to myself, "We leave in exactly a week!" I decided to get some creating done!

First, and easiest, the smashed penny containers... I covered them with my contact paper that I use in my classroom (it took less than 5 minutes to cover all four):

I will be using the huge bag of change my husband has, dig out the quarters and pennies, and clean them in the next couple days (some smashed coin machines smash the quarters, so...)!

I found this on pinterest, printed it, cut it, and had Staples coil bind it. So cute!

Road trip!!!

And we can't forget the AUTOGRAPH BOOK!!! I snagged the images of our choice (there were plenty to choose from here) first. Then I had Staples print them on cardstock (this was what cost the most-- I just didn't want to use up my ink), I cut them, then they coil bound it! I personalized the front and voila!

I included the princess...

And Anna and Elsa of course...

And Mickey and his gang...

Tinkerbell and her friends could not be left out!

And Woody, Buzz, and Jesse too!

I included 45 characters total (this time!). There were two blanks at the beginning and two blanks at the end-- just in case!

That's it for now...

Curious how it went? Read Post Disneyland!

Meeting Mickey & Minnie

The time has finally come... we get to tell Cassidy that we are going to Disneyland!

Twenty days before we left on our road trip to California, Cassidy found a package with a special note on it just for her...

So she opened the box, carefully, and was in awe of the "adorable" Mickey and Minnie inside. And there was a letter too!

With the help of an "Elf on the Shelf" posting, I created a poem with a Mouse in the House twist:

LETTER

Here is an edited version of the video of her reaction:

Priceless! Better than I could have hoped for!

Now, let the Mouse in the House begin!

The next morning she woke up (early) and went in search of Mickey & Minnie...

And the next day...

And then...

And...

And...

And...

And...

And...

And then...

And of course...

Oh no! Minnie is sick... this is the perfect time for Mickey to leave a note reminding us to eat healthy, drink lots of water, and wash our hands- A LOT!

Now that Minnie is feeling better, she and Mickey tag team to get the dishes washed!

Now that summer is officially here, we don't want to slack on getting our reading time in... Alice in Wonderland- classic...

We are getting closer and closer to our trip and we are so excited! Keep checking back to see how Mickey & Minnie continue to check on us!

And now onto my creations...
